Kleerkut®

A New England company produces a variety of high pressure valves, primarily for use in the power industry. They are working on carbon steel as well as stainless, aluminum, cast iron and inconel. They perform a variety of applications including turning, milling, drilling, tapping and sawing. The account was looking for a versatile coolant that could handle all of these operations, while also providing better biostability and rust protection. They had run trials on 4 coolants during the previous 18 months, but had not been able to find a product that met all of their needs. The Harry Miller Corp sales representative suggested Kleerkut® 4900, a semi-synthetic coolant that employed the latest technology which offered superior lubrication and bioresistance in one package. After a 3 month trial period, the customer switched all of their machines over to 4900 and have been extremely happy with the results ever since. The fluid is delivering improved performance across a number of critical measures, and has allowed the company to focus on meeting customer needs without having to worry about coolant issues.
