Immunol® 438-X is an additive for water when water is used in place of solvents to suspend pastes and powders as in magnetic particle inspection, i.e., Magnaflux and Magnaglo. It is also an additive to hydrostatic test solutions. It provides rust inhibition, dispersion and wetting to steel, iron, copper, brass and zinc surfaces. Activol® 7711-B is a highly efficient hydrochloric acid corrosion inhibitor for use in chemical cleanouts of steam generation equipment such as boilers, pulp digesters, and in secondary oil recovery operations using hydrochloric acid. Activol® 9012 is a powdered inhibitor for use in pickling operations using sulfamic acid. It imparts maximum inhibiting properties to sulfamic acid solutions reacting on steel. Use at 1-2% of the sulfamic acid weight in pickling baths, for reducing metal loss, fume prevention and reduction of hydrogen embrittlement. This product is also used to clean boilers or other steam generation equipment where sulfamic acid is utilized. Hamico® EDM is a light colored, transparent, odorless oil for use as the dielectric fluid in EDM (electric discharge machining) operations. It is an extraordinarily pure lubricant with many performance benefits which make it a clear choice as a superior EDM fluid. These benefits include: exceptionally high dielectric strength and clarity, extremely low toxicity, low volatility, outstanding oxidative and thermal stability, low aromatic content, and excellent separation from water. Hamikleer® 712-2 is a water soluble synthetic couplant for ultrasonic testing replacing glycerine. The buffering action permits testing of many metals and metallic couples that heretofore corroded in aqueous-phase couplants. The low halogen content makes Hamikleer® 712-2 ideal for use on titanium and other space-age metals where possible halogen stress corrosion could be a problem. When used neat, the product’s viscosity permits testing of vertical surfaces while exceptional water solubility and solution clarity allow easier rigging and positioning in submerged tank testing. Hamikleer® High Viscosity U.T. Couplants is a series of high viscosity versions of Hamikleer® 712-2 for ultrasonic testing of metals:
Hamikleer® 712-HV-1 Viscosity - 38,000 - 45,000 cps @ 720F
Hamikleer® 712-HV-2 Viscosity - 27,000 - 33,000 cps@ 720F
Hamikleer® 712-HV-3 Viscosity - 5,000 - 8,000 cps @ 720F
Hamilube® 1328-N contains no chlorinated compounds and only minimal amounts of sulfur and phosphorus. It has a light viscosity to flush away metal chips and provide efficient heat removal from the work and tooling. It is suitable for machining operations such as trepanning, threading, tapping, turning, milling and drilling of steel. Hamisolve® 622 is a light colored, transparent degreasing solvent used in many applications for removal of oils, greases, mill soils, etc. Can be used on all metals, as received, by dip, spray or wipe. It will evaporate completely leaving surfaces clean and dry. Hamisonic® X-289 and X-290 are ultrasonic couplants for contact testing on horizontal or vertical surfaces. X-289 is a light viscosity material and X-290 is a heavier viscosity material. These materials can be brushed on the test surface and left on or removed with a water wash. It is a more economical set of couplants; dries to a film having minimal residue. Immunol® 1228 is an additive for use in non destructive test applications such as ultrasonic inspection or hydrostatic (or pressure) testing. It provides rust protection and reduced surface tension to water baths used for immersion testing of these types. Is recommended for systems constructed of (or used for testing) steel and aluminum. It is low foaming and long lasting and provides protection against flash rusting and short term indoor storage. |
