We’re all acutely aware of the coronavirus (Covid-19) so I’d like to take this opportunity to assure you that Harry Miller Corp is committed to keeping our supply chain uninterrupted so that we may continue to supply your company without disruption.
To date, we anticipate NO interruption of incoming supplies and raw materials!
The Steps We Are Taking
For the next 2 weeks, (and until further notice) we’re asking our vendors to communicate with us
Only essential personnel will be permitted on company premises
We’ve instructed our employees to interact with one another at a minimum of 6’ in distance. This is
known as “social distancing” and is recommended by healthcare providers
We’re talking with vendors about their mitigation strategies
Air travel for our employees is suspended for 2 weeks or until further notice
I’m in daily contact with senior executives at a well-known academic medical system so the company
has access to all the current advice
If your facility has imposed restrictions on visits or other operational guidelines, please advise our personnel prior to their travel to your location. I’ve asked our representatives to discuss visitation prior to any travel. None of our employees have visited the countries most affected by the virus: Italy, South Korea, China or Iran.
At Harry Miller Corp, we’re focused on protecting the health and well-being of our employees and our customers. Please be assured that we’re following the guidelines provided by the AMC mentioned above as well as the CDC:
Facts About Covid-19
Covid-19 has a 6 day doubling time and spreads faster than the swine flu (infects 2.7 other people vs. 1.3 other people for swine flu).
The virus is spread between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
When a person sneezes, respiratory droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.
•“Social Distancing”: Stay 6 feet or more away from colleagues and friends.
Do not attend gatherings where you can’t practice social distancing.
Stay hydrated: take a few sips of water every 15 minutes.
If you suspect you have been infected, DO NOT GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. Go to your primary care doctor, or a local urgent care. Find a facility that will offer a swab while in your car.
Symptoms of Covid-19
Dry cough with no runny nose (if you have a runny nose and sputum, you have a common cold).
Sore throat lasting 3-4 days.
Subsequent respiratory congestion, difficulty breathing and high fever.
As always, we value your business and hope this public health crisis passes quickly. We thank you for your understanding and patience. If you’re concerned about our performance, please contact me directly.
